We are working to build up a gaited pony herd here at Trumpet Farm. We have three American Walking Ponies, which are a cross between the Tennessee Walking Horse and the Welsh Pony, and an American Gaited Pony stallion. The American Gaited Pony can really be of any pony/horse parentage, as long as it is pony size and displays gaits beyond the normal walk, trot, and canter. These can be, but aren't limited to, the fox trot, running walk, and rack. Gaited ponies are perfect for kids and smaller adults who prefer the comfort of a gaited horse but don't want something too big.
